Bess was the daughter of Tia and litter sister of Bailey. Like her brother Bailey, Bess showed a lot of promise from the start. She was good in the show ring winning a number of best puppy awards. Her highest show win was obtaining a reserve 'cc' at the Windsor championship show in 2000 (she also obtained her stud book certificate). She has also won several 'best of breeds' at open show level and won 'best in show' at exemption shows. The bottom picture on the left shows Bess (on the left of the 3 dogs) winning 'veteran bitch' at the GB Club Champ show 2002. But Bess is not just a show dog she has also won several obedience and carting awards (obtaining an Advanced Carting Certificate and a Gold Good Citizen Award). She also liked agility and entered several open shows and like her brother obtained 'best working dog' at a number of club working events. She also likes swimming and has obtained the first swimming certificate from the Newfoundland Club. So Bess was an excellent allrounder who enjoyed her time out, like Bailey her brother. She was a credit to her mum (Tia) who we thank for giving us some lovely dogs, with excellent temperaments and working ability.
